Peer Review Process

- Judging articles in the "Journal of Interreligious Studies on the Qur'an and Bible" is by double-blind peer review (the identity of the author of the article and the referee is not known to both parties).

- The referees are obliged to judge the article within the specified period and based on the policies and guidelines of the journal.

- Each article is evaluated by at least two expert referees in the relevant subject.


Steps to evaluate articles:

  1. Receiving the article through the journal system (articles that are sent to the journal via email or any other method will not be included in the review process)
  2. The preliminary assessment of the paper according to the main indices of the journal (subject, authors, structure)
  3. The review of the article in terms of scientific theft 
  4. Submitting the article to at least 2 expert referees in the subject area of the article
  5. Announcing the result of judging to the author (non-acceptance / need to review)
  6. Pursue review of articles by authors
  7. Send the revised article to the referee (acceptance / non-acceptance)
  8. Announcement of the result of arbitration to the author (acceptance / non-acceptance)
  9. Send the letter of acceptance to the author
  10. Put the article in the accepted articles section for publishing
  11. Determining the number in which the article will be published (with the opinion of the editorial board)
  12. Send the article to the editor
  13. Send the edited article to the author for clarification and final approval before publication
  14. Send the final file approved by the author to the layout
  15. Online publication of article in the journal website.
  16. Sending an email informing the publication of the article to the authors of the articles of each issue and other audiences
  17. Submitting articles to national and international databases and indexes
